I had bombed out on my May 2002 Hunters Island bisection and vowed to return. It was still very spontaneous. But I had been yak camping all summer and new how to outfit. A view on Saganagons. Viewed: 514 times.

The kitchen is where it's at. This particluar kitchen has considerably more sq ft than the one at the house. Counters were a little low. Viewed: 561 times.

I keep wanting to think this is Wet Lake. I know it's before Kawnipi and I remember this was the last warm night of the trip. I played my cedar flute, awesome echoing, well into the night. Viewed: 536 times.

This was my first BW/Q without eyeglasses. That lasik is a miracle.
I was still reaching up to push my glasses up my nose many times on each portage, even though they were gone.

I was in to getting underway early on this trip. In fact I was waiting for a little more light here. It turned out to be a bright, crisp autumn paddle day. Viewed: 553 times.

Riding down the canyon. This area coming west from Sag to Kawnipi was all burned off sometime not too long ago, I never researched the dates. I have talked to folks who don't like it, I think it's a great path. Viewed: 563 times.
